Enhancing Egypt-Jordan Relations: King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly Discuss Cooperation Initiatives

His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, received Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, today at Al Husseiniya Palace, within the framework of Madbouly’s visit to Amman to head the Egyptian delegation to the meetings of the Joint Higher Committee.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh, Prime Minister of Jordan, and Ambassador Mohamed Samir, Ambassador of Egypt to Amman.

King Abdullah II started the interview by praising the historical brotherly relations that bind Egypt and Jordan, expressing his appreciation to his brother, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the brotherly relations and continuous coordination that unites them, praising the congruence of positions and visions between Egypt and Jordan regarding various regional and international issues.

King Abdullah II expressed his welcome to the various issues of cooperation that were agreed upon today between the Egyptian and Jordanian delegations, stressing his keenness to continuously follow up on the process of developing and strengthening relations with Egypt. He also indicated the need to make efforts to accelerate the implementation of the areas of tripartite cooperation with brotherly Iraq.

During the meeting, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly thanked King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein for his generous sponsorship of the various aspects of bilateral relations with Egypt, especially the Egyptian labor force in the Kingdom, which receives all the care and attention of the brothers in Jordan.

The Prime Minister confirmed that he will follow up with his brother, Dr. Bashr Al-Khasawneh, during the coming period, mechanisms for implementing new cooperation issues between the two countries, especially cooperation in the field of pharmaceutical industries, green hydrogen, and other issues.
