To improve conditions and efficiency at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics (FMVZ) of the Juárez University of the State of Durango (UJED), the rector Rubén Solís Ríos, delivered a pasture cart, worth 90 thousand pesos, designed specifically for the post area, which will facilitate the work of feeding the animals.

The acquisition and installation was made with the institution’s own resources, and it was custom built to guarantee that the process of feeding the animals in the faculty’s fields is carried out more effectively and in less time. Previously, workers had to use two carts a day to transport the green fodder necessary for food, a situation that was complicated given the deterioration of the previous cart.

Rector Solís Ríos stated that the purpose of this investment is to guarantee that the team can do its work more efficiently, because the feeding cart is designed specifically for the needs that are required, we hope to reduce time and effort. to keep our animals well fed.

For her part, director Maribel Guerrero Cervantes emphasized the importance of renewing this equipment, “it was essential to ensure that our animals received adequate nutrition, so the deterioration of the previous cart made this task difficult.” With this new pasture cart not only does it have a greater capacity, but it also has two rotation axes that facilitate its handling in the agricultural area.

It was the Mennonite community who was in charge of manufacturing the cart, for which they worked in close collaboration with the FMVZ, and thus ensure that it met all the specifications required for the Faculty’s fields.

He pointed out that this effort reflects the continuous commitment of the UJED to ensure that its faculties are well equipped and that they have the necessary tools to perform their functions effectively.
