Lahore: The government has ensured more facilities in the jail for Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, who is incarcerated in the Tosha Khana corruption case. Imran Khan is lodged in Attock Jail. Cot, bed, pillow, chair and air cooler are to be provided as per the Jail Act. Apart from these, Imran was given a fan, prayer room, Quran with English translation, books, newspaper, dates, honey, tissue paper and perfume, reports The Express Tribune.
Punjab Prisons IG Mian Farooq Nasir, who visited the jail, said that Imran was very satisfied with the new facilities. Imran has been allotted a new toilet with European closet and 5 doctors. According to the instructions of the Prisons IG, special food will also be delivered to the jail for Imran. Imran Khan’s wife and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party filed a complaint showing that there was fear for Imran Khan’s health and safety, and the former prime minister was granted more facilities.
