Spain has become the world champion for the first time after defeating England in the final of the Women’s Football World Cup.

In this final played on Sunday in Australia, the captain of Spain’s women’s team, Olga Carmona, scored the only goal of the match for her team.

Spain won the title of world champion by defeating England by one goal to zero in the final in front of more than 74,000 spectators.
