Benjamin Mendy is not going to stay too long in “Strangeways”, the prison in which he had just been transferred. English justice has indeed accepted his release on bail following a hearing Friday. Seven counts of rape and one for sexual assault hang over the world champion, who will be placed under house arrest.
The French must pass a new hearing with the judge before his trial on January 24. He faces life imprisonment in this case.
