The People’s Party demands an apology for the author’s verbal lapses

Vienna (OTS) – “The malicious Köhlmeier statements are a frightening and empathetic trivialization of the Nazi era. Linking the atrocities of the Nazis to the People’s Party is a massive transgression and requires a quick apology from the author. Working on the People’s Party in such a clumsy way is stunned,” says the People’s Party member of the National Council, Martin Engelberg.

“As a people’s party, we distance ourselves in every way from the darkest chapter in the history of our country – we expect the same from every other citizen in this country. Any form of trivialization is unacceptable to us,” Engelberg concludes.
