News From August 1, you will be able to apply for a one-time energy voucher. The benefit is intended to help mitigate the effects of rising electricity prices. Check who qualifies for the aid and where county residents can apply.
At the beginning of July, a new maximum price for electricity came into effect. In practice, this means that the average household will have to pay several dozen złoty more for electricity each month than before. An energy voucher is a one-time financial support aimed at mitigating the effects of rising energy prices.
Who can benefit from an energy voucher?
To use the voucher, you must meet certain criteria, primarily those related to income. In a single-person household, the income cannot exceed PLN 2,500 per person, and in multi-person households – PLN 1,700 per person.
How much is the voucher?
The amount of support depends on the number of people in the household: single-person households: PLN 300, two- and three-person families: PLN 400, families of four to five people: PLN 500, and families of six or more people: PLN 600.
If the household uses heating sources powered by electricity, the value of the energy voucher will increase by 100% – i.e. it will range from PLN 600 to PLN 1,200.
The Energy Voucher Act also provides for electricity subsidies for the elderly, disabled and large families who are in a difficult financial situation.
The “zloty for zloty” principle
People who exceed the income criteria can also apply for an energy voucher. In such a case, the “zloty for zloty” rule applies, which means that the voucher will be reduced by the amount exceeding the limit. The minimum amount of energy vouchers paid is PLN 20. An amount below PLN 20 will not be paid.
Deadlines for submitting energy voucher applications
Applications for an energy voucher can be submitted from August 1 to September 30, 2024. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered. The time to consider a properly submitted application is 60 days from the date of submission.
To submit an application you will need:
- data of the person submitting the application, including PESEL, bank account number and address
- information about the number of people in the household and their personal details
- information about the main source of household heating
- information on where the health insurance contributions for the applicant and members of his household were paid
- data on the income of household members
Where to submit applications in Rawicz County?
Applications for an energy voucher can be submitted to designated municipal or city offices appropriate to the place of residence of the person submitting the application, or via an available online form. Additionally, it will be possible to submit applications via the ePUAP platform and the mObywatel application.
