Energy subsidy: deadline to complete the Rase form | Last days to avoid losing the subsidy

Residential users who wish to continue receiving the subsidy on their electricity and gas bills must re-register in the Registry of Access to Energy Subsidies (RASE) before September 4. However, mere registration does not guarantee the granting of the subsidy, since the application will be evaluated by the Ministry of Energy. How do I know if I am already registered?

The The extension ordered by the Ministry of Energy, headed by Eduardo Rodríguez Chirillo, seeks to reduce the number of users who receive state aid and to ensure that more families pay full rates, such as those paid by higher-income sectors.

Previously, under the administration of Alberto Fernández, an automated system had been created that, based on the social rate, extended subsidies to households even if they had not registered in the RASE.

In this context, more than one million households in extremely vulnerable situations had been counted, which due to lack of connectivity or ignorance of the resolution, had not been registered.

The measure was intended to protect these families, preventing them from being left without assistance due to lack of access to the registry. However, Javier Milei’s administration intends to carry out “the largest fiscal adjustment in history”, which affects the most vulnerable residential users.

To find out if a household is eligible for any financial assistance on electricity rates, you must go to the official website of the Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE) and complete an online form. This form must include the Edenor or Edesur account number, as appropriate.

Registration for electricity and gas subsidies: how to complete the RASE form, step by step

Argentines who want to apply for or maintain energy subsidies must complete a registration form free of charge.

The scheme divides residential users into three categories: the lowest-income group (N2), with greater subsidy coverage; an intermediate group (N3), which receives subsidies up to a consumption limit; and the highest-income group (N1). The latter will no longer receive subsidies and will start paying the full rate.
