Work is advancing at the El Roble de Yungay School, within the framework of the Public School Infrastructure Improvement Program, “Best School”, of the Ministry of Energy, implemented by the Energy Sustainability Agency (AgenciaSE) whose objective is to promote the implementation of projects to improve public school infrastructure, which raise quality standards for the country’s students.
The work, carried out by the company “Constructora Pablo Alberto Molina García y Cía. Ltda.”, has a budget close to 212 million pesos and involves the total remodeling of the infrastructure, through the construction of screens at the main and rear access, reconstruction of the roof and cover structure, the total replacement of lighting, improvement of the electrical system, the extension of dividing walls in the classrooms, painting of interior walls, among other actions that will fully renew the El Roble School.
Currently, the work is 50% complete, projecting its completion for May of this year. “We are very happy to see how progress is being made in this important project, which points to one of the main commitments of the Government of our President, Gabriel Boric, regarding raising quality standards within the country’s educational establishments. Furthermore, the works continue to strengthen energy efficiency and, in the particular case of the El Roble School, giving a tremendous boost to rural education in the commune of Yungay,” detailed the Seremi of Energy, Dennis Rivas.
