“Energy China Partners with Saudi and Moroccan Companies for Major Green Hydrogen Project in Southern Morocco”

The Chinese energy engineering and construction company “Energy China International Construction Group” has partnered with other entities to develop a major green hydrogen project in Morocco.



Green hydrogen:

The project aims to produce 1.4 million tons per year of green ammonia, or regarding 320,000 tons of green hydrogen, with a 2 GW photovoltaic solar power plant and a 4 GW wind project. According EnergynewsThe project will be located in southern Morocco and will be developed in partnership with the Saudi Ajlan Brothers and the Moroccan Gaia Energy.

This project, currently in preparation, also includes plans to operate and maintain the facilities following their completion. The goal is to reduce carbon emissions and provide clean energy to southern Morocco and Europe.
