Energy check 2022: who are the first to receive it this Wednesday, March 30?

The sending of the energy check should start this week of March 28. 5.8 million French households are affected by this boost.

Energy prices are soaring, and French households are struggling to pay their bills. To relieve the wallet of the French, the government has set up an “energy check”. What’s the calendar ?

Nominative, the 2022 energy checks are sent directly to their beneficiary by post over a period extending from the end of March to the end of April.

According to the departments, weeks for first shipments vary. The first to receive it will be the inhabitants of the Hauts-de-France and the inhabitants of Pas-de-Calais or even those of the Northwho will have it in their mailboxes this Wednesday, March 30.

Some beneficiaries will have to be patient because the sending of the energy check is planned between April 25 and 29 for the following departments: Dordogne, Lot-et-Garonne, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Landes, Hautes-Pyrénées, Pyrénées Orientales, Haute-Garonne, Ariège, Lot, Aveyron, Tarn -et-Garonne, Tarn, Aude, Hérault, Lozère, Gard, Mayotte, Vaucluse, Bouches-du-Rhône, Var, Alpes-Maritimes, Hautes-Alpes and the Alpes de Upper Provence.

It should also be noted that the time between sending the energy vouchers and receiving them at home will generally be between two and four days. It is possible to consult the calendar in detail on the website set up by the government.

What costs can be covered with the energy check?

You can use your check to pay an electricity or natural gas bill. For this, you have two possibilities, precise Family Folder :

  • pay directly online on the website Chequeenergie.gouv.fr by entering the number of your check, the scratch code and the references of your supply contract;
  • send your check by mail to your supplier, enclosing a copy of a recent invoice or a payment schedule showing your customer references and indicating your customer number on the back of the check.

You can also pay for the purchase of fuel (oil, wood or LPG), pay your heating costs or even finance energy renovation work (such as the insulation of your roof, for example).
