The website compure-temporaires.enedis.fr will allow everyone to visualize the “load shedding” areas, impacted by the temporary cuts. By entering its address, the site also indicates if cuts are planned during the day.
Updated twice a day, at the start and end of the day, Enedis reminds you that “this information is indicative forecasts which may change”.
The site also provides advice for anticipating the temporary outage, such as cutting off the power supply to “sensitive” devices before the outage, or recharging the batteries of laptops and telephones upstream. It also specifies that in the event of power cuts, customers will not be compensated.

5% of French territory is not covered by the card
While Enedis provides the vast majority of electricity distribution, 5% of the remaining territory is the responsibility of local distribution companies. Strasbourg electricity network, for example, ensures the distribution of electricity in 375 municipalities in the Grand Est region, SRD in 272 municipalities in New Aquitaine. A map, proposed by the agency of energy network operators (ORE) allows you to know your local distribution company.
For more information on the risk of cuts, RTE has set up a website, Ecowatt, which tracks the status of the French electricity system. The site offers also a “cut vigilance alert”which notifies its subscribers by SMS, and which indicates which eco-gestures are the most effective, and when to apply them.
