End of series for HC La Chaux-de-Fonds

HC La Chaux-de-Fonds falls on the leader’s ice. Thierry Paterlini’s men lost 2-1 to Kloten on Friday night in the Swiss Ice Hockey League. A logical score over the whole game even if the Bees could have won the extra time. This defeat puts an end to the beautiful series of eight consecutive victories for the HCC.

A first “twenty” to forget

Thierry Paterlini’s men quickly understood this on Friday evening at the Stimo Arena, Kloten is not the championship leader by chance. More precise and faster in all areas of the game, the Airmen stormed the Bees’ cage during the initial period. Two logical successes by Robin Figren (8′) and Marc Marchon (18′) punctuated a first period in which the Bees never really had the opportunity to exist.

Unsettle the Zurich clock

Upon returning from the locker room, the Lime-de-Fonnière team showed a real burst of pride. A more physical game allowed the HCC to rebalance the debates, to the point of jostling the Zurich people and getting them out of their match. Result: three penalties inflicted against Kloten and on the first of them, the reduction of the gap by Victor Oejdemark (29 ‘).

Les Chaux-de-Fonniers then tried to equalize by moving more towards the attack and sometimes leaving goalkeeper Viktor Ostlund, elected man of the match, to perform miracles. But Kloten’s defense held firm until the final siren.

Noticed absences

Deprived of its Top Scorer, Sondre Olden, and Oliver Ackermann, both injured after a collision which occurred on Tuesday during the match against Visp, HC la Chaux-de-Fonds suffered during this match. But the Bees can still regret this failed start to the match. The details of the attacker from La Chaux-de-Fonnier, Loïc In-Albon:

HC La Chaux-de-Fonds must now prepare their revenge. Chance of the calendar, the men of Thierry Paterlini receive this same team from Kloten on Sunday at Les Mélèzes. A new duel at the top to follow live on RTN from 5:30 p.m. /gjo
