French soccer star Paul Pogba has been banned for four years for a doping offense. The Juventus midfielder tested positive for testosterone in August following a Serie A game once morest Udinese and was shortly followingwards temporarily withdrawn from the match by Italy’s anti-doping agency NADO. His last hope now rests on the International Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in Switzerland. According to information from the TV channel Sky Italia, Pogba is determined to appeal to the court in Lausanne.
The Frenchman, who returned to Juventus from Manchester United in 2022, had struggled with multiple injuries and knee surgery before his suspension. That’s why Pogba was hardly used and also missed the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He wasn’t used in the game once morest Udine either, but only sat on the bench.
