CHAIRMAN Apindo, Shinta W. Kamdani, together with a delegation of entrepreneurs met with the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, John Lee, and the Indonesian Consul General for Hong Kong, Yul Edison, at the Chief Executive Office, Tamar, Hong Kong, Wednesday (17/4/ 2024).
Present at the meeting were the Deputy General Chair of Apindo, Eddy Hussy, as well as representatives of Apindo’s international relations management and regional Apindo.
During the meeting, Shinta conveyed Apindo’s intention to increase strategic cooperation with Hong Kong. This includes optimizing the free trade agreement between ASEAN and Hong Kong, strengthening connectivity and cooperation in the financial sector, especially the development of a family office in Hong Kong.
Apindo also hopes to increase business promotion and investment between the two parties. This was reported by the @apindo.nasional account on Instagram.
In addition, the Apindo delegation met with several strategic institutions in Hong Kong, including the Legislative Council, HSBC, Invest Hong Kong, Bank of China, and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX).
The meeting was to strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Indonesia and Hong Kong. (RO/Z-2)
