Encarnación Oncology Hospital received contribution from EBY to cover new building expenses

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY), delivered a contribution of almost G. 100 million to the Oncology Day Hospital of Encarnación, which will be used to cover the costs associated with the installation of the curtains of the new building of the healthcare center that is regarding to be inaugurated.

This sum was requested by the Lazos del Sur Foundation, in charge of the operation of the Hospital, the Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY) reported this Friday.

The Paraguayan financial chief of EBY, Federico Vergara, highlighted that this action is a directive from the executive director of Yacyretá, Luís Benítez, who emphasized the importance of prioritizing contributions to strengthen public health.

“The director instructed us to prioritize all contributions for public health purposes and we are doing so, following the policy of the National Government led by the President of the Republic Santiago Peña,” stated Vergara.

The gesture was received with gratitude by the president of the Lazos del Sur Foundation. Mrs. María Liz Hahn highlighted the constant support of the EBY towards the foundation and, consequently, to the Oncology Day Hospital.

“We are very grateful to Yacyretá; Every time we have requested help for our hospital, we have always gotten a positive response,” Hahn said.

The Oncology Day Hospital, which has operated in its old location for nine years, is regarding to open the doors of a new, modern building, designed to improve the care and services offered to patients.
