Together with Allianz, EnBW will in future be offering a charging tariff especially for customers of the insurance group. With a monthly basic fee of 1.99 euros, they can draw electricity from EnBW’s own charging infrastructure at reduced prices.
As part of the tariff, charging at EnBW AC charging points costs 0.38 euros per kilowatt hour (kWh) for Allianz customers. DC charging at EnBW fast charging locations with a charging capacity of up to 300 kilowatts costs 0.48 euros/kWh. At charging points of other operators in the EnBW “HyperNetz”, a kilowatt hour costs 0.45 (AC) or 0.55 euros (DC). When they sign up, customers receive a charging card from EnBW for authentication at the charging locations; alternatively, the EnBW app can be used.
According to the energy company, EnBW currently offers more than 250,000 charging points in nine European countries. As with the Group’s charging tariffs, uniform prices apply at all of these charging points. “As one of the largest insurers in Germany, Allianz Versicherungs-AG is a valuable partner for us,” says Timo Sillober, who is responsible for electromobility at EnBW. “With the partnership, we are making our charging infrastructure accessible to an even larger group of people.”
According to its own information, EnBW operates Germany’s largest fast charging network with around 700 locations and is expanding this further. Their fast-charging locations are mainly located at important traffic junctions such as motorway junctions or also in the city centre, in the parking lots of wholesale and retail chains. “Our nationwide fast-charging infrastructure enables our customers to charge flexibly and in a way that is suitable for everyday use – and now also for Allianz customers at a reduced rate,” says Sillober.
