The Ministry of Public Education (SEP) presented the new Universal Scholarship “Rita Cetina Gutiérrez” to education basic and announced who are the students who must register first to receive the support of 1,900 pesos every two months that it will grant.
Through this support, created by the administration of President Claudia Sheinbaum, the Federal Government will provide monetary aid to all Mexican families who have daughters or sons studying in a public preschool, primary or secondary school.

Which students should register first for the ‘Rita Cetina Gutiérrez’ Universal Scholarship?
The registration period for the new “Rita Cetina Gutiérrez” Universal Scholarship for basic education begins on Monday, October 14, 2024 and ends on Friday, January 17, 2025.
The SEP announced that high school students from all over the country are the students who must register first to receive the support of 1,900 pesos every two months provided by this new social program.
It is worth mentioning that in the future the educational authorities will publish the call for the registration of preschool and primary school students in the new “Rita Cetina Gutiérrez” Universal Scholarship.

How to register for the ‘Rita Cetina Gutiérrez’ Universal Scholarship for basic education
Starting on Monday, October 14, SEP personnel and national servants will visit all public secondary schools in the country to hold informative assemblies with mothers and fathers in which they will inform them of all the information regarding the new “Rita Cetina Gutiérrez” Universal Scholarship for basic education.
During these meetings, the heads of families will be able to fill out the application forms to enroll their daughters and sons in this new social program and receive the support of 1,900 pesos every two months throughout the school year.
