Employment4Youth: A call for applications for 95 companies in industry 4.0

In an era where technology is shaping the trajectory of the industry, the ‘Employment4Youth’ initiative is taking the lead with its groundbreaking call for applications which targets 95 companies operating in key sectors, offering an exceptional opportunity to benefit from an in-depth diagnostic. industry 4.0.

“Industry 4.0 to promote youth employment in Tunisia and Ivory Coast”, also known as “Employment4Youth”, is a project led in Tunisia by the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Development. Energy, as part of the national initiative “Towards an industry 4.0 in Tunisia”.

Implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and financed by the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ) within the framework of the Special Initiative (SI) on training and the creation of decent jobs, led by the German government, this initiative aims to increase the competitiveness of SMEs and industrial groups, as well as job creation through the integration of industry 4.0.

To achieve this objective, a call for applications was launched for the selection of 95 companies operating in key sectors, such as mechanics (aeronautics, automotive, electromechanics), textiles, the pharmaceutical industry and the agri-food industry which will have the The opportunity to benefit from an Industry 4.0 diagnosis, supported by the project, with the aim of developing a support plan. This process will lead to the implementation of 4.0 solutions aimed at optimizing performance, quality, flexibility and sectoral competitiveness.

Candidate companies must have existed for at least two years, operate in the formal sector, be in good tax and administrative standing and commit to co-financing the implementation of the support plan.

Benefits of participation

The selected companies will benefit from support from the Employment4Youth project, covering aspects such as capacity building and participation in the acquisition of Industry 4.0 equipment. This financial assistance might reach up to 50% of the overall amount, with a ceiling of 10,000 euros per applicant.

This call for applications also offers a strategic opportunity to companies wishing to embrace digital transformation, thus strengthening their competitiveness and contributing to the boost of employment in key sectors of the economy.
