Lee Seung-hoon (34, IHQ), a Korean speed skating male long-distance veteran, showed off his strength by reaching the top of the domestic competition.
Lee Seung-hun was the fastest at the men’s 10,000m with a time of 14:06:05 at the ’77th National Men’s and Women’s Comprehensive Speed Skating Championships’ held at the Taereung Ice Rink in Seoul on the 28th. She placed third in the men’s 1500m with a time of 1:51.66.
The day before, Lee Seung-hoon rose to first place in the final rankings, which included the men’s 5000m (1st place) and 500m (5th place) results. Cha Min-gyu (29, Seoul general) reached the top in the men’s division of the ’49th National Men’s and Women’s Sprint Speed Skating Championships’ held at the same place on the same day. Cha Min-kyu is a sprinter who won silver medals in the men’s 500m at the 2018 PyeongChang and this year’s Beijing Winter Olympics.
On this day, Cha Min-gyu gave first place by 0.01 second to Kim Jun-ho (27, Gangwon-do Office) with a time of 35 seconds 330 in the men’s 500m second race. However, in the second race of the 1000m, he came in first with a time of 1:11:15. Cha Min-kyu took second place in the first race of the 500m and first place in the first race of the 1000m the day before and took first place overall.

In the sprint championships, sprinters compete in the first and second races in the men’s and women’s 500m and 1000m, respectively, to determine the overall ranking.
