Emma Coronel, wife of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán Loera, debuted as a model in a music video by her husband’s former lawyer, Mariel Colón.
In recent days, the partner of the famous drug trafficker and leader of the Sinaloa Cartel shared images on her social media, as a preview of what was her first job after being released from prison, which occurred in September 2023.
In these, we see the filming of the music video in which she participated; and about which she gave an interview to María Antonieta Collins from the ‘Despierta América‘ program on Univision.
Coronel Aispuro spent two and a half years in a prison in the United States, being accused of participating in the illegal activities for which her husband is serving a sentence in one of the maximum-security prisons in the neighboring country.

In the interview, “El Chapo” Guzmán’s wife revealed that she accepted to participate in the video because it was the Puerto Rican who was her lawyer, whom she considers a friend, and whom she met during her time as her husband’s defender.
The song, titled ‘La Señora’ and performed by Colón, was written by Mario Delgado, known as ‘Cachorro’, who had previously composed corridos about the drug trafficker, according to the international agency EFE.
“It reaches me completely, it talks about me, about everything that has happened to me in life“, said the 35-year-old woman.

She also stated that appearing in the lawyer’s video represented fulfilling her “dream of being a model”, something she has wished for since she was a child.
Regarding the criminal leader, Emma Coronel revealed that she is still in love with him, even though more than seven years have passed since the last time they saw each other, at the end of his trial.
“Love is always going to remain, of course, for sure,” she confidently stated.
For the drug trafficker’s wife, the song has a purpose for those who listen to it: “So that they realize that strong, bad things happen, but the past is already past. Don’t stay there. We have to keep moving forward.”
In the previews of the video and the photos shared on social media, the wife of the kingpin is seen dressed in a red suit and along with Mariel Colón, as they step out of a black truck.
Additionally, some scenes of the video are shown and how she is prepared with makeup and hair styling.
The recording will premiere on August 9, according to what is seen in the previews of the single in which Emma Coronel participates.
