The Dubai Chamber for Digital Economy, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, launched the first phase of the Academy for Training Emiratis, following launching the foundational phase of the academy at the end of last August. The Emiratis Training Academy is a modern electronic training program to develop programming skills and mobile phone applications targeting Emiratis within the “Apply in Dubai” initiative. The “Apply in Dubai” initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, aims to enhance proactive thinking methodologies among young people and digital entrepreneurs, and how to identify an initial business idea for phone applications and involve the community. Following a foundational phase that began in August, the first and main phase of the program begins to provide a comprehensive educational journey divided into two tracks: Android application development and iOS application development.
Participants can choose to complete one or both, and upon completion are eligible to apply for an advanced digital technology certificate (Nanodegree).
