Emirati companies participate in the International Defense Exhibition in Riyadh

Emirati companies working in the defense and security fields are participating in the inaugural session of the International Defense Exhibition, which started yesterday, Sunday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and will continue until March 9.

The Tawazun Economic Council supports the exhibition, with the participation of the Emirates Defense Companies Council, which leads the delegation of exhibiting companies in the pavilion.

Matar Ali Al Rumaithi, CEO of the Council’s Economic Development Unit and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Defense Companies Council, stressed that the exhibition is an opportunity for Emirati companies to market the latest advanced defense technology means and solutions. He said that the exhibition is a global event and an important platform for displaying the most important advanced defense products and technologies.

He explained that the Council is working, through its participation and supervision of the UAE pavilion in the exhibition, to promote Emirati products and facilitate communication between defense companies in the country with the various components of the global defense industries sector.

The UAE pavilion includes platforms for a number of institutions and companies affiliated with the council’s membership, such as the Strait Group, Atlas Communications, Rabdan Academy, Cable Corp, Etimad, Al Hamra Trading and Al Yah Satellite Communications. Yahsat), Al Fattan Ship Industry, Ncommatic, Claudius, and Tasleeh. The pavilion also includes platforms for the Edge group, and the soldier magazine, which is issued by the Ministry of Defense.

Anas Al Otaiba, Director General of the Emirates Council for Defense Companies, said that one of the objectives of participating in this important global event is to review the progress reached by the UAE defense industries, and to enhance cooperation with global defense companies.
