Dubai: The two-day International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) concluded with an award ceremony at the Sharjah Expo Centre.
Emirati astronaut Sultan Alneyadi, who made history by spending six months aboard the International Space Station, was honored with the newly established ‘Personality of the Year’ award at the 10th Sharjah Government Communication Awards (SGCA).
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Media Council (SMC) felicitated the winners. Several other awards were handed out for government communication and innovation.
Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) Director General Tariq Saeed Alley said that the SGCA has worked hard over the past 10 years to establish high standards in government communication practices.
