Emirates prepares new center for pilot training

Dubai: Airline ‘Emirates’ opens new center for pilot training. The center with advanced systems will be inaugurated in March next year. Emirates will open a new pilot training center at a cost of $135 million. This training center will run on solar energy.

Emirates Group Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum announced the new center for pilot training. The new training center will feature six full flight simulator bays where the company will train to fly the Airbus A350 and Boeing 777 aircraft.

It is expected that training for the A350 aircraft will start from June in the new center, which will be inaugurated in March next year. The new center will be built in conjunction with the existing pilot training systems of Emirates. There will also be facilities for initial training in a cockpit environment prior to training in a full simulator. Emirates aims to increase its pilot training capacity by 54 per cent annually.
