Emirates News Agency – UAEU organizes “UAE, Homeland of Tolerance” activities

Al Ain, November 16 / WAM / The Student Affairs Sector at the United Arab Emirates University, in conjunction with the International Day for Tolerance, which falls on November 16 of each year, organized a cultural festival entitled “The Emirates, the Homeland of Tolerance”, which included cultural and artistic activities, with the wide participation of university students who represent 27 countries.

Dr. Suad Al-Marzouqi, Associate Vice-Deputy for Student Affairs at the University, confirmed that the UAEU is considered a national incubator and a cultural edifice that includes many international students from more than 75 countries, and is keen to participate in this global occasion in implementation of the vision of our wise leadership, by embodying the thought of tolerance, which has become a civilized approach and legacy. culturally.

She said, “Through the activities of the ‘UAE, the Homeland of Tolerance’, which will last for 3 days at the university, with the participation of 27 pavilions, we seek to deepen dialogue and cultural and civilizational exchange, to ensure acceptance of the other, and to promote that approach for future generations.”

The festival’s activities included a number of artistic and folklore competitions and performances from different cultures. Students were keen to organize pavilions that introduce the cultures, customs and civilizations of the peoples of their countries, in addition to showing films and musical performances prepared by students.
