Doha, 4 March / WAM / Today, Saturday, the official activities of the Seventh Medical Conference, organized by the Asian Football Confederation, kicked off, with a delegation from the UAE Football Association participating.
The conference will be held in the Qatari capital, Doha, from March 2 to 6, with the participation of 600 medical personnel from different countries of the world, in order to discuss the latest medical developments with physicians, auxiliary health care practitioners, and specialists in sports sciences and medicine.
The delegation of the Football Association includes Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed Al-Hashemi, Chairman of the Sports Medicine Committee in the Football Association, Dr. Abdullah Baron, the youth team doctor, and Dr. Zoran, the doctor of our national teams.
During the past two days, the agenda of the introductory conference included workshops and sessions on musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided injections, football emergency medicine, sports physiotherapists and anti-doping procedures.
The program of the main medical conference, which started its official activities today, Saturday, includes keynote speeches, lectures, seminars, poster presentations and medical workshops. It will also highlight the return of football following the Covid-19 pandemic and how the game has evolved in terms of diversity and inclusiveness.
It also includes discussion of the topics of rehabilitation following sports-related concussions, gender competence, nutrition and nutritional supplementation, sudden heart attack, injury imaging and dental health.
