The Village of Lights in Sharjah is a major public event that attracts thousands of visitors daily

SHARJAH, 18th February / WAM / The various activities of the Sharjah Lights Festival 2023, organized by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, attracted visitors and residents of the emirate, especially the village of lights located next to the University City Hall, which witnesses the participation of more than 41 restaurants serving a wide range of diverse foods, starting with exotic foods. and traditional down to distinct mixtures.
A number of youth project owners in the village unanimously agreed on the success of their participation in this public event, following they were able during the festival period to introduce their various projects, especially since most of them are participating for the first time. They thanked and appreciated the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority for its support and the opportunity to participate in an annual event. It is distinguished by attracting thousands of visitors daily, which makes it a starting point for their projects.
The Village of Lights witnesses many entertainment activities, including “Sky High”, which is an oasis for basketball that offers a unique experience for players of all ages. The shipping containers specially designed for this show, which form the basic structure of the stadium, give a unique and distinct feel, as the basket rings were placed at different heights to provide an atmosphere Dynamic and exciting, in addition to the “Enigma” laser tunnel, which transports the visitor to an enchanting world of lights and sounds. As visitors walk through the tunnel, vibrant laser lights move in several directions, so that visitors live an immersive experience in which they see an exceptional combination between light and sound.
The village is accompanied by the “Visage” artwork, which uses a combination of lights and technology to create a light artwork. The faces are fixed in the ground… while the patterns and patterns provide dynamic light images.
Visitors can enjoy viewing the work from multiple angles and live an immersive experience beyond the limits of imagination. “Visage” aims to explore the concept of identity and how it is perceived, and it is an exceptional example of how light technology can be used to present a charming and visually stunning artwork.
Little Stars is a wonderland full of excitement and adventure, which is specially designed for young children to unleash their imagination and experience an experience that simulates their childhood with its innocence and curiosity. “Line” is a land area that uses lighting technology to provide a unique and attractive experience for visitors, as it provides a dynamic display that changes over time.
The village also includes the “Museum of Lights”, which represents a workshop for entertainment and learning through play. Over the course of long 20-minute sessions, young people between the ages of 6 and 14 years old experience a sensory world full of shapes, colors and patterns, all designed by light projection.
Participants can explore mixing colors into light projections, experiment with the effect of different textures on reflective surfaces, test sand art and much more.
While participants enjoy the “Art in Light” workshop at the Museum of Lights, visitors can make their own art experience by attending the exhibition “Lighthouse” designed by the artist specializing in global 3D technologies and the video Laszlo Zsolt Bordus, which presents artworks that explore the idea of immutability of change Through Light With a series of stunning installations, the exhibition combines theoretical and digital techniques and the concepts of reflection, refraction and the interaction of light in an amazing way.
In addition, the village includes the art collection “The Art Collection” by artist Idris Bey, who created this collection by formulating his vision of contemporary art to create polygonal animal shapes of different sizes, then sold them to collectors as limited edition pieces with the aim of giving everyone the opportunity to own a rare piece of art. All of them are limited edition, which means that every piece he produces is exceptionally well-crafted and unique.
