SHARJAH, 16 March / WAM / After the document of the parental relationship agreement between disputing spouses was held in the corridors of the family courts in the Emirate of Sharjah, which is the only emirate in the country that established this social system, it is now held in the Family Forum Center, affiliated to the Department of Social Services in Sharjah.
The reason is due to the success and distinction achieved by this center in addressing many problems affecting the child as a result of the separation of his parents and putting red lines in front of the safety of the child in the first place from the mood of one of the parties, or the failure to provide all his needs, to regulate the relationship between divorced people with their children, and is considered a shield Condoms for the child in light of the separation of the parents, as it is one of the means that guarantees a successful divorce in the interest of the fostered children, as the document was launched in 2018.
On the occasion of Emirati Child Day, Fayza Khabab, Director of the Family Forum, said that our children are fine under the wise leadership of the state that puts the interest of children at the top of the pyramid and gives it all guarantees and entitlements. From causing harm to children, and here we do not mean material harm only, but rather all kinds that can befall children, as a result of the quarrels of their parents, which may often lead to their exploitation as a means of pressure or antagonism between the two parties.
Khabab added, “The document includes all common aspects, such as alimony, education, health, housing, and vision, in a way that preserves the dignity and rights of the child. The principles of the agreement depend on mutual respect between the two parties, taking into account the best interests of children, transparency, and participation in decision-making.”
She said that focusing on stories of successful divorce and its models is a great example to follow in compliance with the Almighty’s saying, “So hold back with kindness or release with kindness.”
It is no secret to all of us that divorce is one of the most difficult decisions taken by one or both spouses because of its psychological and behavioral impact on the spouses and children alike. They aim in the first place to avoid exposure of their children to any setback due to the problems of separation, vision, and the provisions agreed upon. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a plan before or immediately following divorce and to start concluding a reconciliation agreement between the parents in which they agree: how to deal with the children, and how Follow up on their life affairs under the leadership of the parents by explaining the situation to children who are able to understand and assimilate, and confirm that the decision to separate does not aim to upset and change their lives, but rather supports their stability and helps them live more comfortably away from differences.
As for the objectives of the document, they are to preserve the rights and interests of the children that may be negatively affected following separation, to achieve a successful divorce in which mutual respect prevails, to take into account the rights and obligations of the parties, to be proactive in resolving and confronting differences and conflicts, to participate in decision-making and to assume responsibility, in addition to organizing seeing, istizaraa, and companionship on regular days. Official holidays and school vacations, securing the right of children to see both parties, promoting the principles and ethics of parental relations, taking into account the interests of children, ensuring the achievement of social and sports activities, visits to family, relatives and friends, organizing alimony and expenses, transportation arrangements, children’s education and school follow-up, health care for them, and issuing Renewal of official documents and papers.
On the other hand, Khabab points out that the services provided in the center are: organizing the parental relationship, electronic vision, overnight stay, accompanies, internal and external vision, providing advice and guidance to parents or children, providing specialized opinion to the court regarding the family, and so on.
