Emirates News Agency – The Moroccan coach calls on his players to make history in the World Cup

Doha, December 9, WAM / Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national football team, called on his players to achieve more and make history in the 2022 World Cup, when they meet the Portuguese national team tomorrow, Saturday, in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Regragui led his country to an unprecedented achievement at the level of Moroccan and Arab football, following reaching the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the first time, bypassing teams with great international experience and reputation, the most recent of which was the Spanish national team in the second round.
He said in his team’s press conference today, “They all thought they knew who would win the World Cup. We are here too… Our players are as hungry as the players of other teams. We are not satisfied with what we have presented so far.”
He believed that the public support for his team tomorrow would be very important, especially since the Portuguese national team also has great ambition and desires to make a difference and make history during this tournament.
Rekragui wished that Cristiano Ronaldo would not participate in the starting line-up of the Moroccan national team, as happened in the team’s previous match once morest the Swiss national team in the second round of the tournament, although the Portuguese national team decided the match in its favor with a big score of 6-1, while Ronaldo participated only in the middle of the second half.
