DUBAI, 8th September / WAM / The Ministry of Health and Prevention has obtained two international certificates, the first in the Information Security Management System “ISO 27001” and the second in the Information Technology Management System “ISO 20000”, following its success in applying the best approved standards to obtain these two certificates and fulfilling all their requirements. .
The Ministry’s obtaining these specifications comes following comprehensive audits conducted by a team of experts and international arbitrators to ensure that the procedures followed in the Ministry comply with international quality standards in the field of information technology security, which embodies the Ministry’s keenness to apply best practices in information security management systems within the framework of its commitment to comprehensive quality standards. To improve customer experience, protect data and enhance cybersecurity.
His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Dashti, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector of the Ministry, confirmed that this achievement comes within the framework of the journey of excellence and continuous institutional development adopted by the Ministry in accordance with the highest international standards, and as a result of fruitful efforts and evidence of efficient performance and what has been achieved from employing advanced digital technologies and systems.. The Ministry of Health and Community Protection on the two “ISO” certificates expresses its commitment to applying international best practices for information technology security systems.
He pointed out the ministry’s keenness to implement the best initiatives and innovative solutions in information security and technology systems, in order to enhance the quality of its health system performance and to translate the UAE’s strategy in digital transformation by harnessing its advanced capabilities in protecting digital assets and infrastructure, which contributes to strengthening efforts to build a secure digital system.
Al-Dashti added that obtaining these two certificates reflects the efforts exerted by the ministry to establish a stimulating institutional environment with a technical infrastructure that supports innovation and employs smart technology according to the latest artificial intelligence techniques and data analysis to provide distinguished services that delight customers according to the highest international standards.
For his part, Samir Al-Khoury, Director of the Information Technology Department at the Ministry, pointed to the importance of efforts made to achieve quality standards and specifications, as they were the outcome of effective plans and programs, the results of which appeared during the internal and external audit periods, which resulted in obtaining the two certificates.
