ISTANBUL, 26th August/WAM/ The draw for the first main round, “group stage” of the European Football Championship, which was held today in Istanbul, Turkey, resulted in the Arsenal team falling into Group A with PSV Eindhoven, Norway’s Bodo Glimt and Switzerland’s Zurich.
Manchester United will also participate in the first round of activities in a balanced group, which is the fifth group, which includes Real Sociedad of Spain, Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova and Omonia Nicosia of Cyprus.
The Italian Roma, the winner of the European Conference League title, will play the activities of the round in Group C, which includes Real Betis of Spain, Helsinki, Finland, and Bulgarian Ludogorets.
The draw also resulted in the placement of Dinamo Kyiv of Ukraine, Stade Rennes of France, Fenerbahce of Turkey and AEK Larnaca of Cyprus in the second group, Sporting Braga of Portugal, Malmo of Sweden, Union Berlin of Germany, Union San Giloise of Belgium in Group D, Lazio of Italy, Feyenoord of the Netherlands, Mtjelland of Denmark and Sturm Graz of Austria in Group F.
Group G includes Olympiacos of Greece, Karabag Agdam from Azerbaijan, Freiburg of Germany and Nantes of France, while Group H includes Red Star Belgrade of Serbia, Monaco of France, Ferencvarusi of Hungary and Trabzonspor of Turkey.
The group stage activities of the tournament will start on September 8, while the final match will be held at the Puskas Arena in the Hungarian capital Budapest on May 31, 2023.
