ABU DHABI, 8th February, 2020 (WAM) — The Secretary-General of the Council of Muslim Elders, Counselor Mohamed Abdel Salam, affirmed that the Council has great interest in promoting human coexistence in the African continent.

This came during his reception, at the Council’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, Mrs. Shamsa Abu Bakr “Mama Shamsa”, one of the honorees of the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity 2023.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General congratulated “Mama Shamsa” for being honored by the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity, stressing that she provided a unique model in spreading sympathy and hope among people in order to achieve coexistence, overcome division and build strong human societies, and also contributed to changing the lives of many marginalized people. and the vulnerable, including the youth.

For her part, “Mama Shamsa” expressed her overwhelming happiness with this honor from the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity, expressing her great appreciation for the role of the United Arab Emirates in spreading the values ​​of tolerance and peace and promoting human coexistence, and stressed that this honor represented a strong impetus for her to continue work and construction and spread the spirit of Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity.

At the end of the meeting, the Secretary General of the Council of Muslim Elders, Secretary of the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity, presented the Shield of the Council of Muslim Elders to Ms. Shamsa Abu Bakr, in appreciation of her efforts to consolidate the values ​​of dialogue and human brotherhood.
