DUBAI, 26th November, 2020 (WAM) — His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Emirates Watering Foundation,” affirmed that “Emirates Watering” will continue its tireless endeavors to convey the message of goodness to the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai to all parts of the world, by extending a helping hand to help disadvantaged and afflicted communities. Which suffers from water scarcity and pollution, and to highlight the well-established giving feature in the UAE, indicating that the Foundation is working to translate the importance that Dubai attaches to enhancing the role of innovation and sustainability in international endeavors to confront the global water crisis.
This came during the third meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Water Water Foundation for the year 2022 under the umbrella of the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives” Foundation, which was held remotely under the chairmanship of His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and in the presence of the members of the Council.
The meeting discussed the ongoing preparations for the ceremony honoring the winners of the third cycle of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Water Award, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him. Encourage research institutions, individuals and innovators from all over the world to find new and innovative technologies for the production, distribution, storage, monitoring, purification and desalination of water using renewable energy.
The meeting also focused on the “Emirates Watering” preparations for its annual Ramadan campaign, and its humanitarian initiatives during the upcoming blessed month of Ramadan 2023, which will be organized by the Foundation in cooperation with the bottled drinking water company “Mai Dubai” and various government agencies and charities in the country, in addition to discussing the launch of the “Emirates Watering” application. Smart App on the “Android” and “iOS” platforms, allowing you to learn regarding the Foundation’s projects and initiatives, and the latest developments in the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Water Award.
The meeting also dealt with the successful participation of the UAE Water Water Corporation in the twenty-fourth session of the Water, Energy and Environment Technology Exhibition (WETEX) and the Dubai Solar Energy Exhibition 2022, which was organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority from September 27 to 29, 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
