Emirates News Agency – Shabab Al-Ahly beat Qatar’s Al-Gharafa 8

Jeddah, April 18/WAM/ Shabab Al-Ahly team won a big victory over Qatar’s Al-Gharafa, 8-2 in the match that brought them together at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as part of the fourth round of Group C of the AFC Champions League.

This is the largest win in the history of the continental championship, knowing that it is the first victory for Al-Ahly youth in this edition following three consecutive draws achieved in the previous three rounds.

With this win, Shabab Al-Ahly raised its score to 6 points, in second place in the group, behind Foolad Khuzestan, the Iranian leader, with 8 points, while Al-Gharafa ranked third with 5 points.

The first half ended with Al-Ahly’s youth progressing 3-1, and the Emirati football representative continued his superiority in the second half and succeeded in scoring five new goals, while Al-Gharafa scored only one goal to end the match with an unprecedented victory in the group stage of the AFC Champions League.
