RIYADH, 13th September / WAM / The second edition of the Global Artificial Intelligence Summit kicked off today in Riyadh under the slogan “Artificial Intelligence for the Good of Humanity”, with the attendance of more than 10,000 people and 200 speakers from 90 countries representing policy makers in the field of artificial intelligence and heads of major technology companies in The world, at the headquarters of the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, for a period of three days, under His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence “SDAYA”.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated that His Highness the Crown Prince is keen to benefit from this vital sector; To achieve development for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and for the Kingdom to be a leading global model in building knowledge economies to serve present and future generations and to achieve the objectives of Vision 2030.
The summit began with a live show entitled “Humans can have a better future thanks to artificial intelligence,” which included seven scenes that tell of the human relationship with artificial intelligence, including the ethics of artificial intelligence, the story of machine learning, how man teaches the machine and how to become smart with his hands so that it absorbs its instructions, in addition to how to become independent and work without The need for human input to bring man and machine into harmony once more towards harmony in the future.
In his speech at the opening of the summit, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, reviewed the importance of the “The Line” project and said: It represents a gift from His Highness the Saudi Crown Prince to humanity in how to plan cities for the next 150 years and how the Kingdom can adapt artificial intelligence and data solutions to build societies sustainable.
The summit addresses a number of topics related to artificial intelligence emanating from 3 main themes: artificial intelligence techniques and their current use cases in various aspects of life, the future of the artificial intelligence sector and how to develop and benefit from it in solving the most prominent challenges around the world, the ethics of artificial intelligence and the responsible use of its technologies with the aim of ensuring that The future is real, not science fiction.
