Emirates News Agency – Real Madrid and Manchester United agree on the Casemiro deal

MADRID, 19th August / WAM/ The Spanish football club Real Madrid has officially announced that it has reached an agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of Carlos Enrique Casemiro to the English club this summer.

Real Madrid expressed its great gratitude to Casemiro, who is part of the legend of this club for what he has done over the years he wore the Real Madrid shirt.

Real Madrid said in a statement on its website that since his arrival at the club in January 2013 to join the club’s second team, at the age of twenty, Casemiro has been one of the most brilliant players in one of the most successful and important periods in our history.

He explained that during the period in which he played for Real Madrid, Casemiro won 18 titles with the team: the Champions League 5 times, the Club World Cup 3 times, the European Super Cup 3 times, and the Spanish League 3 times, The King of Spain Cup (1 time) and the Spanish Super Cup (3 times).

The club indicated that it will hold a party next Monday to honor and bid farewell to the player, in the presence of Florentino Perez, the club’s president.

On the other hand, Manchester United also confirmed that this agreement had been reached with Real Madrid regarding the player’s inclusion.

The statement indicated that Manchester United reached an agreement with Real Madrid for Casemiro’s transfer. It remains only to reach an agreement regarding personal terms, the player’s obtaining a UK visa, and undergoing a medical examination.

He added that Casemiro has played more than 500 professional matches, including 64 international matches with the Brazilian national team, and we look forward to welcoming Casemiro to Old Trafford.

Neither club revealed the financial compensation for the deal, while news reports indicated that its value amounted to 60 million pounds, in addition to 10 million pounds in variables, and that the player’s contract with Manchester United would be for a period of 4 years.
