Basra, January 10, WAM/ The Kuwait national football team defeated our national football team with one goal without a response, in the match that brought them together this evening, Tuesday, at the Olympic Port Stadium in Basra, as part of the second round of the second group of the “Gulf 25” championship.
The only goal of the match was scored by Ahmed Al-Dhafiri in stoppage time.
With this result, the Kuwait national team raised its score to 3 points, while the UAE national team is still without points.
Most of the first half was played in the middle of the field, and the attack of the two teams did not pose a danger to the opponent’s goal, with the exception of one attack by the Emirates team and the same attack by the Kuwaiti team.
The performance improved slightly in the second half, and the UAE national team threatened Suleiman Abdul Ghafour’s goal on more than one occasion, but without scoring goals, until the Kuwait national team succeeded in scoring its only goal with a header from Al Dhafiri.
