Emirates News Agency – Mutual visa waiver between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of North Macedonia

ABU DHABI, 17th March, 2020 (WAM) — The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of North Macedonia have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding mutual exemption from entry visas for holders of diplomatic, special and official passports, in continuation of the development and strengthening of bilateral relations and the realization of common interests of the two peoples and countries.

Under this memorandum, citizens of the United Arab Emirates who hold diplomatic and special passports are exempted from entry visas to the Republic of North Macedonia.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the United Arab Emirates by Faisal Lutfi, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and on the part of the Republic of North Macedonia, Abdulkadir Memedi, Ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia to the UAE.

This memorandum comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of North Macedonia and facilitating movement between the two countries. This measure is an important step towards enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, culture, education and other areas of common interest.
