ABU DHABI, 7th March / WAM / Sheikha Dr. Mozah bint Mubarak bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Al Mubarakah Foundation, affirmed that the celebration of International Women’s Day is an appropriate occasion to shed light on the achievements of women in the world and the challenges facing their path, and through it we look forward to the brightening of their future and promising future.

She pointed out that the celebration of this day opens up broad prospects for evaluating policies and initiatives related to women in various parts of the world with the aim of supporting their progress and empowering them, especially in societies where women still suffer from marginalization, forgetfulness, rights abuse and disempowerment.

She said that the celebration of this day also embodies a global vision of societies free from violence once morest women and societies that believe in achieving gender equality without discrimination towards women, in a way that ensures comprehensive development of societies in which women have equal access to education, training and advanced technology, as well as empowering rural women in many areas.
