Emirates News Agency – Mohammed bin Khalifa: Unifying the armed forces is one of the greatest decisions of the Union State

ABU DHABI, May 5th / WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, praised the inspiring and immortal historical roles of the founding leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “Good God”, since the establishment of the State of the Union and its establishment of the foundations of its renaissance and the pillars of its prevention and strength.

He described his decision, “may God have mercy on him”, to unify the armed forces on May 6, 1976 as one of the most important and greatest decisions taken in the course of the experience of Emirati unity due to its important role in strengthening the march of the union state.

In his speech on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the unification of the armed forces, His Highness saluted the decision of the late Sheikh Zayed “may God have mercy on him”, which came in the light of a forward-looking strategic vision that he set since the establishment of the Union State on December 2, 1971, and he worked diligently, strong will and insight into achieving it. Over the years, until he had what he wanted with unrelenting determination, the armed forces would become the impregnable shield of the nation, its cutting sword, and its impregnable wall in the face of everyone who begged himself to harm the gains of our dear homeland.

In this regard, he saluted our proud armed forces on the 46th anniversary of their unification and the remarkable heroic roles that history recorded with an ink of light in support of the brothers and the preservation of security and peace at the regional and global levels.

He valued the tasks that they accomplished perfectly in defense of the security of the homeland and the interests of the higher Emirates and its people.. He stressed that the decision to unify the armed forces was the main turning point in its path and the real beginning of its launch and development.

He said that our armed forces were and will remain the safety valve of the nation and its impenetrable line of defense in the face of dangers and in various circumstances, preserving the sovereignty and security of the state and its remarkable gains that it achieved during five decades.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan praised the sincere efforts of the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and their brothers, Their Highnesses, rulers of the Emirates, follow the approach of the late Sheikh Zayed in supporting our armed forces and building them according to the latest global armament methods and advanced military technology.

He said that the UAE, as it celebrates this year the anniversary of the unification of its armed forces, recalls with pride the great services it provided so that our homeland remains dear for eternity in light of the development, modernization, professionalism and efficiency it has reached in all its branches and the important roles it plays in defending the Emirates. Helping brothers, fighting terrorism, and maintaining peace and stability.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, at the end of his speech, paid a glorious salute to our righteous martyrs who dedicated their lives to the life of our dear homeland and its people, dear and generous, after they wrote the greatest epics in the arenas of honor and redemption. And to bring them down to the homes of the martyrs, the righteous, and the righteous.
