Fujairah, 18th December / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, affirmed the role of heritage sports, especially equestrian, in reviving the national heritage of the UAE, strengthening its status among members of society and successive generations, and the need to celebrate it and introduce it globally.
This came during the presence of His Highness, the conclusion of the Fujairah International Arabian Horse Championship in its seventh edition 2022.
His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, witnessed part of the tournament’s conclusion and its final round competitions.
The conclusion of the tournament was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Authority for Culture and Media, Sheikh Saif bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Free Zone Authority, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, and His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Emiri Diwan. in Fujairah, and His Excellency Salem Al Zahmi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Championship.
His Highness, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, referred to the directives and support of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Muhammad Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, for qualitative tournaments and competitions that contribute to highlighting the Emirati heritage and attract those interested in it from different countries of the world, in a way that enhances the authenticity of the national identity, and celebrates the legacies of Arab and Islamic civilization. .
His Highness crowned the winners of the final day of the tournament, and His Highness honored the participating referees, and the Dubai Horse Stud, winner of the Fujairah Golden Sword Award.
His Highness appreciated the efforts of the Organizing Committee of the Fujairah International Arabian Horse Championship, in making it a success and achieving its goals, and in contributing to the revitalization and enrichment of equestrian sport in the region and the world.
The Fujairah International Arabian Horse Championship was held under the auspices of His Highness, Crown Prince of Fujairah, in the arena adjacent to Fujairah Castle, during the period from December 15-17, with the wide participation of horse owners and stables from inside and outside the country, with a total prize pool of 4 million dirhams.
