ABU DHABI, 29th November, WAM/ H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, affirmed that the memory of our heroic martyrs will remain alive in the memory of generations and entrenched in their hearts.
His Highness said – in a speech addressed to the Nation Shield magazine on the occasion of Martyr’s Day, which falls on the thirtieth of November of each year – that the thirtieth of November is a day when we renew the feelings of belonging to the homeland and complete loyalty to the wise leadership, and we express our appreciation for the sacrifices of those who were martyred for the sake of the homeland. His glory and elevation, and we affirm that we are fully prepared to protect our federal state, which our fathers founded on the values of sacrifice, giving, and sincerity.
The following is the text of the speech:
// On this day, we, the sons of this bountiful land, perpetuate the memory of our fathers and our heroic brothers who sacrificed precious lives and sacrificed pure blood in defense of the homeland, protecting its sovereignty, and striving for the banner of its glory to remain high and fluttering, asking the Almighty to accept them with good acceptance. And to dwell them in His spacious gardens, and to reconcile their families and children, who enjoy comprehensive care and full care from the state represented by its leader and president, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him.”
The thirtieth of November is a day in which we renew our feelings of belonging to the homeland and total loyalty to the wise leadership, and we express our appreciation for the sacrifices of those who were martyred for the sake of the homeland and its glory and elevation, affirming the strength of our society and the solidarity of its people, and the memory of our heroic martyrs will remain alive in the memory of generations and entrenched in their hearts, and we affirm That we are fully prepared to protect our federal state, which our fathers founded on the values of sacrifice, giving and sincerity.
May God shower our martyrs with His mercy, and grant them the highest paradise, for they have fulfilled their covenant with God and the country, and we promise them to remain loyal to the values for which they were martyred to uphold and defend them, and to work for this country to remain a unified home, asking God Almighty to protect the soldiers and officers of our armed forces. Defenders of our country’s sovereignty and principles, salutations are extended to all the people of the UAE in all fields of giving and humanitarian work as they perform their duty to the fullest.
