LONDON, 22nd August / WAM / Manchester United regained its balance following two consecutive defeats and achieved its first victory in the English Premier League this season, with a precious 2-1 victory over Liverpool today in the third round of the championship matches.
Manchester United won its first three points in the tournament, while Liverpool’s balance froze on two points from three matches.
Manchester United ended the first half with a clean goal, scored by Jadon Sancho in the 16th minute, then the team strengthened its lead with a second goal scored by Marcus Rashford in the 53rd minute.
Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah scored the team’s only goal in the 82nd minute.
