LONDON, 15th August / WAM / Liverpool missed two new points at the start of their journey in the current season of the English Premier League, and tied with its guest Crystal Palace 1-1 today, Monday, in the second round of the championship matches.
And Liverpool raised its score to only two points from its first two matches this season, and Crystal Palace won its first point in the competition this season.
Crystal Palace was the first to score through Ivorian international Wilfried Zaha in the 32nd minute to finish the first half in his favour. In the second half, despite the sending off of Uruguayan Darwin Nunez, the new striker for Liverpool in the 57th minute, the owners of the stadium overcame the numerical shortage and scored the equalizing goal by Colombian Luis Diaz in Minute 61.
Liverpool, who finished the competition last season in second place behind the title-winning Manchester City, started his career in the championship this season with a 2-2 draw with Fulham before they tied today for the second match in a row.
