DUBAI, 19th February, 2020 (WAM) — Kostutis Navicas, Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania, has confirmed his participation and a delegation from his country in the activities of the 28th session of Gulfood 2023 – the world’s largest food and beverage supply event – which kicks off tomorrow.
He said that dozens of Lithuanian companies will display their leading products in the field of food industries at Gulfood 2023 at the Dubai World Trade Center from February 20-24.
The Lithuanian delegation includes Dr. Antanas Finkus, Head of the International Affairs and Export Promotion Unit at the Ministry of Agriculture; Davidas Klyuchinskas, Deputy Director of the State Food and Veterinary Services; and Šroni Sablevicine, Agricultural and Commercial Attache at the Lithuanian Embassy in the UAE.
Kostutis Navicas added that his visit to the UAE aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries through the exchange of experiences and best practices that contribute to the promotion of innovative technologies, especially in the field of agricultural trade, import and export, as well as initiatives seeking to enhance cooperation between agricultural universities and research centers in the country. Both Lithuania and the UAE are in sectors of mutual interest.
He said that the Gulfood 2023 exhibition will shed light on the extent of the development of the food and beverage sector in Lithuania and the success stories that have been achieved in this sector, in addition to future positions and the status of agro-food industries in the world today.
