Sharjah, August 30/WAM/ The Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work announced the “Sustainable Volunteering” competition, in which it targets all parties concerned with children and schools in the United Arab Emirates, in all its categories, whether governmental, private or civil, provided that each entity participates in best practices. Activities and initiatives concerned with instilling a culture of volunteerism among students.
Fatima Musa Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Award, said that the Award confirms its continuous communication within its various contributions to social responsibility that focuses on bringing regarding positive change in society, noting that this competition; It is one of the most recent activities launched by the “Award” to target the parties concerned with children, which would contribute to instilling the values of volunteerism among students.
Participation in the competition is required; That the entity or school is in the country, and that the work being participated in during the period from August 29 to December 12, 2022 AD, and that the entity or school is licensed and registered in the competent authorities in the country, provided that the publication of photos and coverage of participation through social media with Using the hashtag #sustainablevolunteering, as well as the hashtag #SharjahAward for Voluntary Work.
This competition is also complementary to the “award” programs concerned with children, the most prominent of which is the “Volunteer Stars” initiative, which is one of the special honoring categories. Each school can nominate only one student in accordance with the conditions, papers and required documents.
