A statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports stated that this step comes as part of initiatives to involve people of determination and educate them about preserving the environment, striving to create a positive economic impact, spreading environmental awareness among them and members of society, and raising awareness of environmental issues.
The statement pointed out that this step comes within the framework of the great and qualitative development witnessed by the strong fraternal relations between Egypt and the UAE, and work to intensify joint cooperation for the benefit of people of determination and their families, and cooperation in the fields of sports, culture, art, handicrafts, employment and employment, and the transfer of expertise and experience to the Bridges of Hope program that it offers. The initiative is an awareness campaign in addition to the collection and recycling of plastic waste with the participation of people of determination and their families among the employees and cadres of communication centers that have been rehabilitated in the Egyptian governorates as part of the (Bridges of Hope) program, which aims to develop 68 centers over three years in Egyptian villages with the support of the “Holding” (ADQ).
The initiative aims to provide a unique example by people of determination who cooperated to protect the environment and raise awareness of the importance of preserving the civilized appearance in the participating areas and protecting them from plastic waste, as well as involving the various groups of society by promoting a culture of volunteer work, and achieving the commitment of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and the Egyptian Youth Campaign to For the climate by applying the principles of social responsibility.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE leadership and people for what it provides to Egypt, affirming the historical ties that unite the two countries and the bonds of love and brotherhood between the two brotherly peoples. He praised the efforts of the Zayed Higher Organization to support and care for people with abilities and determination, and the fruitful cooperation between the ministry and the institution. The campaign resulted in the sale of the waste that was collected over a two-month period through 48 youth call centers across the Republic, with the participation of an Egyptian company specialized in waste recycling, at an amount of 14,000 Egyptian pounds, which was donated to Hospital 57357 for the treatment of children’s cancer.
