Emirates News Agency – Korean League NEX1 opens its new offices in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 21st November, 2020 (WAM) — The Korean company, Legnex1, opened its new offices in Abu Dhabi, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Tawazun Council and the Korean company earlier this year.

The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency Tariq Abdul Rahim Al Hosani, Secretary General of the Tawazun Council, Bonsang Koo, President of League NX1, and Jishan Lee, CEO of the company.

It is noteworthy that the Tawazun Council seeks to develop a solid infrastructure for defense industries and to establish global industrial partnerships that will accelerate the process of building competencies and innovation in the sector, leading to a coherent and flexible sector for defense industries.

His Excellency Tariq Al Hosani praised the opening of Legnex 1’s offices in Abu Dhabi, pointing out that this comes within the framework of defense cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of South Korea, describing the opening as a new step in the path of relations between the two countries and in the directions aimed at developing the defense and security industries sector in the country.

He added, “We welcome League NEX 1 to the UAE, and we look forward to strengthening the bonds of cooperation with them.”

It is noteworthy that Legg Nex1 will assist in the M-SAM medium-range surface-to-air missile system, which was recently acquired by the United Arab Emirates.
