DUBAI, 29th August / WAM / The Juvenile Awareness and Care Association celebrated Emirati Women’s Day, praising its progress and prosperity. His Excellency Lieutenant-General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Dubai Police and Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, congratulated Emirati women for their blessed efforts in the progress and prosperity of the country, and wished them more progress, prosperity and continued success every year.
The congratulations came during a dialogue session for the association held under the auspices of the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf and attended by Sheikha Shamsa bint Hasher bin Mani’ Al Maktoum, supervisor of women’s games at Al Wasl Club, and a large number of women’s activities in Dubai from all government departments and agencies in the emirate. Fatima Abdullah Al-Darbi, a member of the association’s board of directors, said that the UAE’s celebration of Emirati Women’s Day represents a national occasion to express pride in the achievements of his Emirati son and appreciate her vital role and outstanding contributions to the country’s renaissance and sustainable progress.
Sheikha Shamsa bint Hasher bin Mani Al Maktoom spoke regarding the role of women in the sports field and addressed the most important sports developments and achievements made by Emirati women during her career. She noted the great role of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation In supporting the development of women in the field of sports and sponsoring many women’s sports tournaments.
She said: We cannot forget the Sports Academy, as well as the great role of Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Juma Al Maktoum, the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and her sponsorship of international women’s sports competitions and honoring female athletes, in addition to the role played by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi. The wife of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and her permanent sponsorship of the Arab Club Championship and international skills and friction for championships.
She said that Emirati women have succeeded and achieved many achievements in international championships, including snowboarding, karate, weapons, boxing, equestrian and show jumping, stressing that the great role of women of determination cannot be ignored.
She drew attention to the role of the mother in instilling and refining sports talents and working on raising children and raising them on values, morals and giving and preserving and developing the structure of society.
Sheikha Shamsa concluded her speech by saying that Emirati women have been able to achieve unprecedented achievements since the establishment of the Federation and in various fields, and have become a major partner in the development of society and have proven their presence in various fields.
Alia Al-Amiri, a government employee and volunteer, also spoke in the dialogue session regarding the role of women in the professional, legal and voluntary fields. She emphasized that volunteer work is a way of life.
